Yep.  You just made my point.  Since it's really OUR oil anyway, why is the average gas price in the US over $3.00/gal?

Really?  Because most liberals tell everyone that Bush started in Iraq for the oil and was backed and supported but the big oil companies.

True, but not to keep Iraq's production down.  That doesn't make sense.  Now there is a higher margin now, but not higher gross if they controlled the oil in Iraq.  Oil people make money if oil is $30/barrell.  They don't need the price to be over $100.  It's actually detrimental to their business.

$30/bbl?  Guru, if oil were that low, I'd be out of a job!  My good man, you are spouting out quite a bit of misinformed misinformation.  I would love to lay this out in a long and drawn out diatribe, but that would just be a wasted effort on my part.  If you only knew what it took to produce one ounce of crude or one whisp of nautral gas, you might start to understand that at $30/bbl, there would be no reason for any company to even attempt to begin to look for petroleum.

They are recording record profits.  The reason why it's detrimental is b/c people are going to push for other forms of energy when oil gets too expensive.  How is the oil business going to be if everyone is using electricity to run there cars or hydrogen, or whatever other technologies that will emerge b/c oil is so expensive.

Now you've really exposed that you have no clue what you are talking about!

I would welcome the day that all vehicles run on alternate fuels.  However, even with that being the case, there will always be a large need for petroleum and the products that are produced from it.

It's funny how a statement like "Now you've really exposed that you have no clue what you are talking about!" really exposes that you don't know what you are talking about.

You can welcome it all you want, but you aren't that important in the grand scheme of things.  Billionaires who have an interest in everyone using oil for energy don't welcome those technologies.  But when oil gets too high those technologies are going to emerge.  Oil is not $100+ a barrell right now b/c of demand, but I won't waste my time explaining that to you b/c you know everything and ASSUME I don't know anything.

I offer this for thought.  The billionaires that control the oil DO want the other technology because you use oil to power the tractors that are planting 30% more corn every year for ethanol.  Petroleum products are used in almost all fertilizer that has to be used to grow the corn for ethanol.  There is a reason that every major oil producer supports ethanol from farm products so much.
I also say this.  The amount of ethanol produced from ALGAE is 50 times more than corn, yet EVERY major oil producer does not support using algae for ethanol production.

Oh and by the way, AT THE RISK OF SOUNDING LIKE SHOCK, when you have a degree in Petroleum Engineeering and work daily with actual wells producting actual oil and gas and developing areas for the production of oil and natural gas, then you might begin to understand what you don't understand.

Maybe you should go have your boss explain to you how things work then or maybe even turn on CNBC so you can get your education updated.  T. Boone Pickens must not know what he is talking about either.

CNBC is only reporting what they are told to report.  Don't believe everything you hear on TV.  Then again you believe everything Barack says so you must be pretty gulible.
